Inaugural Annex II Experts' Meeting held Vienna, Austria, 13th-14th May 2008
The Annex II inaugural Experts’ meeting was hosted by Arsenal Research at the impressive Parkhotel Schönbrunn, Vienna over 13-14th May. The meeting was integrated into Smartgrids Week Vienna and saw 16 delegates and country experts discuss aspects in relation to DG System Integration, including:-
• Annex II success criteria;
• The interests and contributions of the participating countries;
• Annex organisation & management; and
• Responsibilities for Tasks, Activities and Deliverables.
Seven countries are participating in Annex II, with prospects for further countries joining in due course. In a rewarding and constructive meeting, the structure and content of the work packages were refined in light of Experts’ views. Each of the three major Tasks was well supported and work will now commence on all three tasks. The meeting concluded to the satisfaction of all participating countries.
The next meeting is scheduled for October / November 2008, venue to be confirmed.
